Ear Training Expedition Part 2:

Level 1: Carnival Crusade (Inverted Triads)

Inverting a Triad: Recognizing triads in Root, First and Second Inversion on a staff; also identifying whether the triad is Major or Minor. Root and First Inversion: Identifying (by ear) Root and First Inversion triads. Triads in All Positions: Identifying (by ear) Major and Minor triads in all positions.. Identifying Triads: Position and Mode: Identifying (by ear) the position and mode of Major and Minor triads.

Level 2: Balloon Expedition
Major to Augmented: Recognizing the difference between Major and Augmented triads, on a staff. Major to Augmented: Identifying Major and Augmented triads by ear. Minor to Diminished: Recognizing the difference between Minor and Diminished triads, on a staff. Minor to Diminished: Identifying Minor and Diminished triads by ear.

Level 3: Triad Trek

Triad Review: Recognizing Major, Minor, Augmented and Diminished triads (root position) on a staff. Identifying Triads: Identifying the 4 types of triads by ear. Open and Close Position: Recognizing triads in any position, on a staff. The Final Trek: Identifying (by ear) the four types of triads in all positions.

Level 4: Rhythm Safari

Exploring Basic Rhythm Patterns: Identifying rhythm patterns in whole, half & quarter notes. Discovering Eighth and Sixteenth Notes: Identifying rhythm patterns using 8th & 16th notes. Getting the Beat: Understanding Meter Signatures, and identifying rhythm patterns in 2/4, 3/4 and 4/4 time. Simple Meters: Identifying meters of 2/4, 3/4 and 4/4 time.

Level 5: Undersea Expedition

Navigating the Circle of 5ths: Learning to identify the Major key signatures. Exploring Relative Minors: Identifying the correct Minor keys by key signature. The Minor Scales: Identifying the three types of Minor Scales, on a staff.
